Currency
The local currency is the Indonesian Rupiah (IDR). As currency exchange rates often fluctuate, we recommend that you check the exchange rate prior to your departure to South East Sulawesi-Tomia Island. Please note that we do not offer currency exchange services. While ATMs are available on Tomia Island, we do not recommend using them as they can sometimes experience issues with cash withdrawal. Additionally, according to regulations from the nation’s central bank, Bank Indonesia, all cash payments must be made in IDR.
