Getting to Tomia in Wakatobi National Park
To reach Wakatobi National Park you have several choices:
- Fly directly from Denpasar (Bali)
- Fly from Kendari
- Fly from Jakarta via Denpasar (Bali), with 2 options
- Fly from Lombok via Denpasar (Bali)
- Fly from Manado via Denpasar (Bali)
- Fly to Baubau via Makassar and take the boat to Wangiwangi (Wakatobi)
Please make sure you have good travel insurance. In Indonesia, flights and boats can get delayed or cancelled easily. Also, do not book flights with a narrow transit time. When travelling through Indonesia, you have to be patient and flexible. The resort is not responsible for delay or cancellation of boats and airplanes, so there will be no refund.
1. Fly directly from Denpasar (Bali)
From 11th August 2026 there will be 2 times a week a flight with TransNusa from Denpasar (Bali) straight to Wangiwangi (Wakatobi). See the schedule below.

We can arrange airport pickup, by airconditioned car, from the airport Matahora in Wangiwangi and bring you to a hotel of your choice. You have to stay 1 night in Wangiwangi and the following morning you take the boat to Tomia. The price for the pickup is RP.150.000 and it takes about 30 minutes to reach the hotel. You pay directly to the driver.
The following morning, we can pick you up from the hotel at 07.15 and bring you to the port where the boat to Tomia is waiting. The boat leaves at 08.00, and the boat ride takes about 2,5 hours. The cost for the ticket is RP.150.000 and you buy it onboard. You will arrive around 10.30 in Tomia, where we can pick you up and bring you in an airconditioned car to the resort. The price for the pick-up is RP.100.000. You pay directly to the driver.
For the return we can pick you up at the resort at 08.30 by airconditioned car and bring you to the port where the boat to Wangiwangi is waiting. The cost for the pick-up is RP.100.000. Every Tuesday and Friday there is a flight with JayaAir from Kendari to Wangiwangi (Wakatobi).
