HOW TO GET THERE

To reach Wakatobi National Park you have 3 choices.

• Fly to Wangiwangi (Wakatobi) and take the boat to Tomia Island
• Fly to Baubau and take the boat to Wangiwangi (Wakatobi)
• Fly to Kendari and take the boat to Wangiwangi (Wakatobi)

• Fly to Wangiwangi (Wakatobi) and take the boat to Tomia

From 31 October 2024 there will be twice a week (on Monday and on Thursday) a flight from Makassar straight to Wangiwangi (Wakatobi). You will arrive around 13.25 in Wangiwangi. So, you need to stay a night in Wangiwangi. We can pick you up in an airconditioned car and bring you to the hotel of your choice. The price is RP.150.000 per car and you pay directly to the driver. The next morning, we can pick you up at 07.00 at your hotel and bring you to the harbor where the boat to Tomia is waiting. The price is RP.100.000 per car and you pay directly to the driver. The boat (KM Fungka) to Tomia departs at 08.00 am and the ticket you can buy on board (RP.170.000 per person). The boat ride takes about 2,5 hours. You will arrive around 10.30 in Tomia, where a driver can pick you up by airconditioned car and brings you to the resort. The price is RP.100.000 and you pay directly to the driver.

For the return to the airport of Wangiwangi (please note that this is only on Monday and on Thursday), we can pick you up by airconditioned car around 08.45 am at the resort and bring you to the boat that leaves around 09.00 am. The price is RP. 100.000 and you pay directly to the driver. You can buy the ticket at the counter at the harbor, the price for the ticket of the boat Fungka is RP.170.000 per person. The boat ride takes about 2,5 hours. In Wangiwangi we can pick you up by airconditioned car and bring you to the airport. The price is RP.150.000 per car. You will arrive at the airport around 12.00.

• Fly to Baubau and take the boat to Wangiwangi

We can arrange airport pickup, by airconditioned car, from the airport in Baubau and bring you by airconditioned car to the hotel of your choice. The price is RP.100.000. You pay directly to the driver.

The next morning around 06.15 we can pick you up by airconditioned car to bring you to the harbor of Lassalimu. That is a 3 hour drive and cost RP.800.000. You pay directly to the driver.

The boat from Lassalimu leaves for Wangiwangi around 10.15 and the ticket cost RP.105.000 per person. You can buy the ticket at the harbor and the driver can help you purchasing the ticket. The boatride takes about 2 hours.

You will arrive in Wangiwangi around 12.15. We can arrange pickup, by airconditioned car, at the harbor because you need to transit boat. The driver will bring you to another harbor. The ride takes about 15 minutes. The cost is RP.100.000. You pay directly to the driver. If you want you can go for a lunch first at Dapoer Maritiem or we can arrange a lunchbox.

At the other harbor the boat to Tomia is leaving at 14.00. The ticket cost RP.150.000 per person and you buy the ticket onboard. The boat ride takes about 2 hours. You will arrive around 16.00 in Tomia, where a driver can pick you up by airconditioned car and brings you to the resort. The price is RP.100.000 and you pay directly to the driver.

For the return to Baubau we will pick you up by airconditioned car at 05.30, and bring you to the boat that is leaving for Wangiwangi at 06.00. The car ride cost RP.100.000. The boat ride takes about 2 hours and the ticket cost RP.150.000 per person. You buy the ticket at the harbor before you boarding. In Wangiwangi we will pick you up by airconditioned car and bring you to another harbor. The cost is RP.100.000 and you pay directly to the driver. The boat to Lassalimu leaves around 08.20 and the ride takes about 2 hours. The ticket you can buy at the harbor and cost RP.105.000 per person. The driver can help you purchasing the ticket. You will arrive around 10.00 in Lassalimu. In Lassalimu there will be a driver waiting for you to bring you to the airport or hotel in Baubau. The car ride takes about 3 hours and cost RP.800.000.

• Fly to Kendari and take the boat to Wangiwangi

We can pick you up, by airconditioned car, from the airport in Kendari to either the harbor or the hotel of your choice. The price is RP. 175.000. The price by airconditioned car from the hotel to the harbor is RP. 100.000. You pay directly to the driver.

From Kendari there is 6 times a week a boat leaving for Wangiwangi, except on Friday. The boat departs around 09.00 and arrives around 19.00 (10-hour boat ride). The ticket for the boat you can buy at the harbor and cost RP. 350.000 per person. The driver can help you purchasing the ticket.

In Wangiwangi we can pick you up at the harbor by airconditioned car and bring you to your hotel. The price is RP. 100.000

The next morning at 07.15 we can pick you up by airconditioned car to bring you to the harbor. The boat Fungka leaves at 08.00 to Tomia. The ticket for the boat Fungka is Rp.175.000 per person and you can buy them onboard. The boat ride takes about 2,5 hours. You will arrive around 10.30 in Tomia, where a driver can pick you up by airconditioned car and brings you to the resort. The price is RP.100.000

For the return to Kendari, from Wangiwangi there is 6 times a week a boat to Kendari. Except on Friday. We can pick you up by airconditioned car at 05.30 and bring you to the boat that departs around 06.00 to Wangiwangi. The cost for the car ride is RP.100.000 and you pay directly to the driver. The boat ride takes about 2 hours and the ticket cost RP.150.000 per person. You buy the ticket at the harbor before you boarding. In Wangiwangi we can pick you up by airconditioned car and bring you to the harbor. The cost is RP.100.000 and you pay directly to the driver. The boat to Kendari leaves around 10.00. The boat ride takes about 10 hours. You will arrive around 20.00 in Kendari. At the harbor in Kendari we can pick you by airconditioned car and bring you to your hotel, the cost is RP.100.000 and you pay directly to the driver. The next day we can pick you up by airconditioned car and bring you to the airport of Baubau, the cost is RP.175.000 and you pay directly to the driver.
