HOW TO GET THERE

To reach Wakatobi National Park you have 3 choices.

• Fly to Wangiwangi (Wakatobi)
• Fly to Baubau and take the boat to Wangiwangi (Wakatobi)
• Fly to Kendari and take the boat to Wangiwangi (Wakatobi)

• Fly to Wangiwangi

Every Tuesday and Friday there is a flight from Kendari to Wangiwangi (Wakatobi).

Depart from Kendari 09.45, arrives in Wangiwangi (Wakatobi) 10.45

Depart from Wangiwangi (Wakatobi) 11.15, arrives in Kendari 12.15

We can arrange airport pickup, by airconditioned car, from the airport in Wangiwangi and bring you to the harbor where the boat to Tomia is waiting. The price for the pickup is RP.150.000 and it takes about 30 minutes to reach the harbor. You pay directly to the driver. There is time to go for a lunch if you want. The boat to Tomia leaves at 14.00, and the boat ride takes about 2 hours. The cost for the ticket is RP.150.000 and you buy it onboard. You will arrive around 16.00 in Tomia, where we can pick you up and bring you in an airconditioned car to the resort. The price for the pick-up is RP.100.000. You pay directly to the driver.

For the return we can pick you up at the resort at 05.30 by airconditioned car and bring you to the harbor where the boat to Wangiwangi is waiting. The cost for the pick up is RP.100.000. You pay directly to the driver. The boat departs at 06.00 and takes about 2 hours. The ticket you buy onboard.

In Wangiwangi we can pick you up by airconditioned car and bring you to the airport. The price for the pick up is RP.150.000 and you pay directly to the driver.

• Fly to Baubau and take the boat to Wangiwangi

We can arrange airport pickup, by airconditioned car, from the airport in Baubau and bring you to the hotel of your choice. The price is RP.100.000. You pay directly to the driver.

The next morning around 06.00 we can pick you up by airconditioned car to bring you to the harbour of Pasarwajo. That is a 1-hour drive and cost RP.400.000. You pay directly to the driver.

The boat from Pasarwajo leaves for Wangiwangi around 07.30 and the ticket cost RP.150.000 per person. You can buy the ticket at the harbour and the driver can help you purchasing the ticket. The boatride takes about 2 hours.

You will arrive in Wangiwangi around 9.30. We can arrange pickup, by airconditioned car, at the harbour because you need to transit boat. The driver will bring you to another harbour. The ride takes about 15 minutes. The cost is RP.100.000. You pay directly to the driver. If you want you can go for a lunch first.

At the other harbour the boat to Tomia is leaving at 14.00. The ticket cost RP.150.000 per person and you buy the ticket onboard. The boat ride takes about 2 hours. You will arrive around 16.00 in Tomia, where a driver can pick you up by airconditioned car and brings you to the resort. The price is RP.100.000 and you pay directly to the driver.

For the return to Baubau we will pick you up by airconditioned car at 05.30, and bring you to the boat that is leaving for Wangiwangi at 06.00. The car ride cost RP.100.000. The boat ride takes about 2 hours and the ticket cost RP.150.000 per person. You buy the ticket at the harbour before you boarding. In Wangiwangi we will pick you up by airconditioned car and bring you to another harbour. The cost is RP.100.000 and you pay directly to the driver. The boat to Pasarwajo leaves around 09.00 and the ride takes about 2 hours. The ticket you can buy at the harbour and cost RP.150.000 per person. The driver can help you purchasing the ticket. You will arrive around 11.00 in Pasarwajo. In Pasarwajo there will be a driver waiting for you to bring you to the airport or hotel in Baubau. The car ride takes about 1 hour and cost RP.400.000.

• Fly to Baubau and take the boat to Wangiwangi

From the airport in Kendari to either the harbour or the hotel of your choice, you take an airport taxi. The price is around RP. 175.000. If you choose to stay a night in Kendari, we can pick you up, by airconditioned car, the following morning around 07.00 at your hotel and bring you to the harbour. The price from the hotel to the harbour is RP. 170.000. You pay directly to the driver.

From Kendari there is 6 times a week a boat leaving for Wangiwangi, except on Friday. The boat departs around 09.00 and arrives around 19.00. The ticket for the boat you can buy at the harbour, the driver can help you purchasing the ticket. Or you can order it online at www.pelni.com.

In Wangiwangi we can pick you up at the harbour by airconditioned car and bring you to your hotel.The price is RP. 100.000

The next morning around 07.00 we can pick you up by airconditioned car to bring you to the harbour. The boat called Fungka leaves at 08.00 for Tomia. The ticket for the boat Fungka is Rp.175.000 per person and you can buy them onboard. The boat ride takes about 2,5 hours. You will arrive around 10.30 in Tomia, where a driver can pick you up by airconditioned car and brings you to the resort. The price is RP.100.000

For the return to Kendari, from Wangiwangi there is 6 times a week a boat to Kendari, except on Friday. We can pick you up by airconditioned car at 05.30 and bring you to the boat that departs at 06.00 to Wangiwangi. The cost for the car ride is RP.100.000 and you pay directly to the driver. The boat ride takes about 2 hours and the ticket cost RP.150.000 per person. You buy the ticket at the harbour before you boarding. In Wangiwangi we can pick you up by airconditioned car and bring you to the harbour. The cost is RP.100.000 and you pay directly to the driver. The boat to Kendari leaves around 10.00. The boat ride takes about 10 hours. You will arrive around 20.00 in Kendari. At the harbour in Kendari we can pick you by airconditioned car and bring you to your hotel, the cost is RP.100.000 and you pay directly to the driver. To go to the airport, you better ask the reception to arrange a taxi to pick you up.

Please make sure you have a good travel insurance. In Indonesia the flights and boats can get delayed or cancelled easily. Also don’t book flights with a narrow transit time. When travelling through Indonesia you have to be patient and flexible.
